Episode 17: The Dinosaur Paradox — The Eco-Inquisition and the Silence of Scientists
Welcome back to Bakuro-cho.
When you hear the word "CO2," what do you think? The media and politicians tell us it is a deadly poison that will destroy all life on Earth. But to see through this illusion, we don't need complex computer models. We just need to look at the dinosaurs.
■ The Dinosaur Paradox Millions of years ago, during the age of the dinosaurs, CO2 levels were over 1,000 ppm—more than double or triple the levels we have today. In fact, oxygen levels were much lower.
Did the Earth burn and die? No. It was a global greenhouse paradise. Giant ferns and forests grew everywhere, providing enough energy to support massive creatures. Scientifically, CO2 is not a poison; it is plant food.
Every earth scientist and geologist knows this basic fact. It is common sense. So, why don't they say it on TV?
■ The Tragedy of the "Eco-Inquisition" The answer is deeply human. Scientists are not evil, but they are human beings who need to survive. They have families to feed, mortgages to pay, and careers to protect.
In the academic world, "Research Grants" (funding) are everything. Today, the "Climate Crisis" has become a strict religion. If a professor stands up and says, "Actually, higher CO2 is completely normal for the Earth," their funding is instantly cut. They are labeled a "denier" and exiled from the academic community.
It is exactly like a medieval Witch Hunt. It is a modern Eco-Inquisition. So, scientists stay silent. They swallow the truth simply to survive. Can you really blame them?
■ Selling Modern Indulgences And who benefits from this forced silence? The Bureaucratic Legions and the utility companies.
By keeping you terrified of CO2, they can force society to buy modern "indulgences"—expensive, inefficient offshore wind turbines and solar panels. And as we know, because of the "Cost-Plus" pricing system, the more expensive and inefficient the power grid becomes, the more profit the utility companies make.
Do not hate the scientists for their silence. They are just hostages to their paychecks. But the next time a politician tries to sell you "Green Panic," just remember the dinosaurs. They are the silent witnesses to the truth.
